The Avenue Grill building is located at 630 E. 17th Avenue
in Denver, Colorado. The neighborhood is commonly referred to
as ‘Uptown’ and this section of East 17th Avenue
is popularly referred to as “restaurant row”. This
attractive brick building was constructed in 1924 and was home
to many small retail shops including the East Denver Creamery
& Delicatessen owned by the James McCreedy Family.
Today the building is home to the Avenue Grill, which was established
in 1988 as a traditional San Francisco style neighborhood restaurant.
The restaurant décor is reminiscent of the supper clubs
of the 30’s and 40’s with its impressive vintage
bar and crisp white tablecloths. The “Avenue”, as
the locals know it is renowned for its award winning martinis,
friendly staff and impressive imaginative menu. |
